Job Duties
VDOT's Lynchburg District is seeking a Part Time (Wage) Facilities Technician to join their dynamic team! As the qualified candidate you will provide day-to-day support and assistance to the to the facilities staff. Liaison for VDOT staff requesting assistance of a general nature not requiring specific trades involvement. Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Minimum Qualifications
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• General knowledge of facilities-related services and office interfaces in a large multi-divisional environment.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds to chest height.
• Skill in basic computer operations.
• Ability to use ladders, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and carts.
• Ability to perform a variety of physically demanding tasks on a daily basis.
Additional Considerations
• Experience in building construction as project inspector, superintendent or project manager.
